5. Humphrey STANGER [97925] (William Thomas4, Thomas3, Humphrey2, Unknown1) was born about 1658, died in May 1710 aged about 52, and was buried on 10 May 1710 in Barrowden Rutland England.

General Notes: In an eMail, dated December 21, 2004, Ken Stanger writes:
Humphrey was married at Barrowden Rutland but wasn't born there. Barrowden is on the River Welland (the County Boundary) looking from Rutland over the river to Harringworth Northants on the other side. I believe Humphrey was born in Harringworth but have no direct evidence. The Harringworth PRs and BTs were sketchy and some years missing. Humphrey certainly wasn't born in Barrowden. The good PR and BT records there go back further.

Ken believes that the "Humphrey" family is related to the "William Stanger" Family; but has not yet established the connection.

In a Gedcom File received from Richard Brice in July 2007, he states:
Occupation - Slater. Source Alan Bloor Dec 2000. Born 1658 - Source Ken Stanger Jan 2001
"The will of Humphrey Stanger (1710) names only three sons (William, John and Humphrey) and three daughters (Alice, Mary and Anne). William is said to be the eldest son and Humphrey the youngest. This means that the younger Thomas, like his namesake, must have died as a child. It also implies that Elizabeth probably died young too. The will also reveals that Humphrey owned three houses - he left one to each son." - Alan Bloor web site.

Married in 1676, so perhaps born about 1650. The name Humphrey Stanger appears in Harringworth Jury lists between 1641 and 1649 - possibly this Humphrey's father? There is also a Humprie Stanger baptised in Bulwick in 1569. Source: Ken Stanger, January 2003.

In an e-Mail received from Joyce [Pickering] Trousdale in May 2012, she included the following Information on Humphrey's Will:
