3. Ann HAGELL [92627] (William2, William1) was born in 1802 in London England, was baptised on 18 Apr 1802 in St Anne Blackfriars London England, and died in 1870 at age 68.

Ann married Edward HARRIS [92628] on 10 Apr 1823 in St Bride's Fleet Street London England. Edward was born Abt. 1799 in London England and died on 27 Jul 1833 in Southwark Surrey England aged about 34.

The child from this marriage was:

+ 8 M    i. Edward HARRIS [92632] was born on 24 Jul 1825 in London England, was baptised on 12 Oct 1825 in St Bride's Fleet Street London England, and died in 1910 in England at age 85.

5. Frances HAGELL [35350] (William2, William1) was born on 27 Nov 1807 in Marylebone Middlesex England, was baptised on 21 Feb 1812 in St Dunstan in the West London England, and died on 18 Feb 1854 in Dunedin Otago New Zealand at age 46.

Frances married Rev, Charles JEFFREYS [35315], son of Rev, Richard JEFFREYS [35302] and Sarah GILDER [35303], on 18 Aug 1835 in Southwark Surrey England. Charles was born on 10 Nov 1801 in Great Parndon Essex England, was baptised on 30 May 1802 in Putney London England, and died on 25 Nov 1862 in Dunedin Otago New Zealand at age 61.

General Notes: He was admitted Sizar to St Johns College, Cambridge;Trinity College; Cambridge, on 7th October 1818, and was later Scolar. He Obtained his B.A. in 1822 and became a second Wrangler. In 1823 he was Smith Second Prizeman in Mathematics and Natural Philosophy. He was a fellow of the college from 1824 to 1834 and obtained his M.A. in 1826. He took Holy Orders and was ordained Deacon on 5th June 1830 and Priest on 3rd November 1831. He left Cambridge in 1834 and established himself in London, England as an independant preacher and tutor, having doubts on dogma which finally led him to break with the established church. He brought up his nephews James and Charles Samuel Nicol.
In 1847 the family transferred to Birkenhead, and in 1851 Charles decided to emigrate to New Zealand to join his sister Caroline and her husband Judge Valpy, who had gone there shortly before. The family sailed on the 'Maori' on its second Voyage, landed in Nelson, New Zealand on Christmas day 1851. They settled on Judge Valpy's estates and Charles continued his independant ministry in Otago, New Zealand.
Included in a File of Information received from Christine Allan-Johns in December 2010, was the following:
He was the chaplain for the Valpy family of the Forbury, Dunedin. Judge Valpy was his brother-in-law. Charles had left the Anglican church and started an Independent church which formed the nucleus of Knox Presbyterian Church, Dunedin, in later years.

Sarah Juliana JEFFREYS [35352] was born on 26 Feb 1840 in Marylebone Middlesex England, was baptised in Tichfield St. Calvanistic Independent Church London England, died on 23 Jun 1921 in Auckland Auckland New Zealand at age 81, and was buried in 1921 in Purewa Cemetery Auckland New Zealand.

+ 12 F    iv. Frances JEFFREYS [35354] was born on 23 Jan 1842 in Hendon Middlesex England and died on 27 Sep 1928 in Dunedin Otago New Zealand at age 86.

+ 13 F    v. Henrietta Penelope JEFFREYS [35355] was born on 9 Oct 1843 in Hendon Middlesex England and died on 3 Jul 1939 in Nelson Nelson New Zealand at age 95.

+ 14 M    vi. Francis James JEFFREYS [35356] was born on 24 Sep 1845 in Marylebone Middlesex England, was baptised in Tichfield St. Calvanistic Independent Church London England, died on 2 Aug 1934 in Auckland Auckland New Zealand at age 88, and was buried on 8 Aug 1934.

   17 F    ix. Elizabeth Georgiana JEFFREYS [35359] was born on 16 Jan 1853 in Dunedin Otago New Zealand and died on 18 Jul 1885 in Dunedin Otago New Zealand at age 32. Another name for Elizabeth was Lily.
