General Notes: In a Document received from Elizabeth Jane Marshall in August 2016, she included the following:
"Richard GODDEN was a landlord of the 'Three Mackerel' on the Strade. It was a well known haunt of Excisemen, and when it was demolished, circa 1936, moving wall panels and hides for contraband goods were found. Richard was co-owner of the Vessel 'Flying Fish' 136 tons, 10 carriage guns."
