In 1819, He was Apprenticed to a printer - Weekly Newspaper "The Rockingham".
12th May 1819 - "Indre of Apprentiship for the term of seven years - Joseph Bee Jun. to The Prop of the Rockingham".
In 1826, 12th May 1826 "This is to certify that the within named Joseph Bee has served the full term of seven years agreeably to the term of this Indenture - signed John Perkins".
In 1827, Freeman of Hull 3rd April 1827 "Joseph Bee was admitted and sworn a Freeman or Burgess of Kingston-upon-Hull, the third day of April 1827 - signed Geo Bramwell, Depy Town Clerk" Died April 12th
NB As Joseph (3) was only 22 years old, this could be his father, Joseph.

He was a Shorthand writer, Living in Brixton with wife Marianne (34) born 1807, daughter Sarah (11) born 1830, daughter Marianne (9) born 1832, Son Thomas (7) born 1834, Daughter Jane (5) born 1836, son Joseph (1) born 1840.

He was a Reporter, Living in Newington with wife Mary A Bee, and children Sarah (21), Marian (19), Jane (15), Joseph (10) and James (2) (where is Thomas?).
1861 Census:
He was a Reporter, Living at 16 Grosvenor Pk Walworth, Lambeth with wife Mary A Bee (53), Jane (25), Joseph (20), James (12), Sarah Rickards (5) Granddaughter.
1871 Census:
He was a Reporter, Living at 1 Langlon Place, Vassall Road, Lambeth with wife Marianne (60), James (21) Clerk, Flora Rickards (4) Granddaughter, Marianne Dixon (3) Granddaughter.
1881 Census:
He was a Retired Shorthand Writer, Living at 106 Vassall Road, Lambeth with wife Marianne (67) and Marianne Dixon (13) Granddaughter.
